Reader Questions Answered

When I was in school, I quickly learned that if I was puzzled about something, most of my classmates were puzzled by it as well. The only difference between them and me was that I was willing to stick my hand in the air and ask a question.

In thirty years of Bible teaching, I've learned the most from the students who ask questions. Sometimes I know the answer, and sometimes I know that no one knows the answer, and those questions are easy to deal with.

But my favorite questions are the ones for which I don't know the answer, and I have to work hard to find the answer for the student and for myself. We both learn something about God's word that we didn't know before, and so do all the other readers who were puzzled about the same thing.
